Commit to diversity in your workplace today
Did you know only 48% of working-age (15-64) people with disability are employed, compared with 80% without disability. This means there is a huge number of potential employees being excluded from the current labour market.
We think we can do better than this on the Mid North Coast and we are setting the local business community a challenge to diversify their workplace and employ a person with disability today.
Join some of our region’s leading businesses and become a part of Key Employment’s 100 club – a community initiative designed to increase employment and inclusion of people with disabilities on the Mid North Coast.
Kicking off on 1st September 2021 we are aiming for 100 businesses to commit to hiring a person with disability and help us create a more inclusive community.
Focus on ability. Achieve anything.
“Now I don’t think I am below anybody. I feel different from what I used to believe. I am treated like an equal individual and my opinions are listened to with respect and courtesy.”
“I am treated like an equal individual and my opinions are listened to with respect and courtesy, and the people at Key Training make me feel like a valued member of the community.”
“I think they are doing a great job. They are providing for my needs and they are there to help us. It’s nice to have some support without feeling afraid; they are very reassuring. I feel looked after and respected, and they allow support, but don’t take away your dignity.”
“Before becoming a client of Key Employment I had tried to get a job part time. My friends were all getting jobs, but I wasn’t able to get one. I also found trying to apply for jobs on the internet hard because I am dyslexic. Thanks to Key Employment I am now employed as a kitchen hand.”
“I am happy with the friendliness and helpfulness from everyone at Key Training. I have gained knowledge and skills about business which will help me in the future. I am really thankful to be helped and can’t wait to complete the course.”
